VHS Tapes

In this dream I purchased a music store. It used to be a thriving store, but is now needing to be cleaned up and restored. I see that shelves have fallen off the walls and everything has collected dust and cobwebs, but underneath it looked like it was in good condition.
As I am cleaning one area I see a shelf full of VHS instructional music tapes. I recognize some as being really good videos with well-known musicians giving master class lessons. While other videos are poor quality and worthless. I start separating out the good videos from the junk and work on cleaning the display case for them. I see an employee who is in the drum department and tell him that these are great drum videos and need to be shown to all customers. If someone is buying sticks and drum heads he should make sure to tell them to also buy one of these drum videos. The employee looks at me with a complete blank stare. I look back at the shelf of videos and see in the back a dusty DVD and the employee says without emotion that nobody has a VHS machine anymore to play these videos. I am stumped for a bit realizing that it is true and also that nobody uses DVDs anymore either. These are all old and antiquated videos. After a brief moment of thought I continue to fix up the shelves sort the videos in display. I then move over to the guitar department to do the same.
Next I decide that the store needs music playing so I find the stereo for the store and go to play some music. The system is tucked away under a cabinet that I can only get to by getting on the floor on my stomach. I see a dusty record player and CD player with a bunch of unorganized and dusty albums. I can hear above me employees talking. I understand that they are ones that worked at this store for the old owner and now work for me. One gal says that she doesn't want to hear new songs and she is going to ask that she choose the music. Meanwhile I am looking through the music and don't recognize any of it. Plus, all the CDs are bunched together without cases and very unorganized. The employee leans over and asks if she can pick the music and I agree. She pulls out a Joni Mitchell record and starts to play it. In my mind I am thinking about how much I don't like the music, but walk away ready to endure it for now.
Scene Change:
I am now back cleaning the shelves and come across old and dirty picture frames. All of the pictures in them have a dark kind of middle ages, druid type background. I recognize that the pictures are of the employees that work at the store. These pictures were taken by the old owner and everyone had a picture. The frames were dusty and many of them broken. I am struck by how ancient the images and backgrounds were only with a modern picture of the employee. It was very dark. I begin to gather them all to throw away but then I hear in my mind "if you make too many changes, too soon it will drive them away". So I put the pictures away and think to myself that I'll have to deal with it later.
The End!
