My brother and I were walking in a mall and we overheard a young man in a small group talking to another man (they all appear to be in their twenties). It seemed as if one of the guys, Scott, was sick and in pain. He has some kind of stomach illness and the other guy was trying to heal him. He was talking about the planets and rambling on with all this nonsense in an attempt to heal him. I told my brother that we had to go over and find out what was going on. So we walk up to them and I ask what is wrong. Scott says he is having severe pain in his stomach and side. The other guy says it is no problem he has it under control. Then a girl, who was with them, said that the one guys gave Scott some ice that Scott didn't want and then after he ate the ice he got sick.
It was obvious that this kid had poisoned Scott with the intention of proving he had healing powers. So I looked Scott in the eye and asked him if he wanted to be healed and he nodded, yes. The other guy tried to jump in and told us everything was fine and that he had this under control, but we ignored him. I told him that the only true healer is Jesus and that to show him how much Jesus loved him He was going to heal him. So I touched the side and rebuked the pain and released healing in Jesus name. Now, I was expecting a dramatic response and some kind of show that a miracle had happened, but nothing happened. I prayed a little more and still nothing. Then I asked Scott how he felt and he said very plainly "better, the pain is all gone". Based on his very sterile response I was surprised, but said "that is great".
Again the other guy tried to speak up, but we continued to ignore him. I asked him if he wanted to know Jesus and he stood up and said "yes". It was then that I noticed a change, he looked completely different. Clearly no more pain, but his whole countenance had changed and he was at peace. I told Him about Jesus' love and forgiveness of sins and led him in prayer. Then I told him he needed a Bible. I said "I don't have one with me but if he went to any christian church they would give him one for free". Then I remembered that I had one of my old bibles with me (it was a red bible and on the front said "for young believers"). It had post it notes all on the inside with a reference for each note on the front (each posted note listed a symptom and a verse like Joy, depression, sadness, etc). I handed him the bible and told him it was my old bible and opened it and it to show him all the notes and underlinings. I was kind of embarrassed, but offered it to him and asked if this was ok. I apologized about all the writing but said it might help you. He was so happy and gladly took it. I told him to read it and it would be life to him.
I had to leave but gave him my number and told him to call anytime.
The End!
